Solifidian

A solifidian is someone who believes that having faith alone is enough to ensure salvation. Because I put this word on later than usual, and there was only one entry, I haven't put this word on the poll. However, the entry - from The Mad Fishicist - is wonderful and I'm sure would have been a winner on the poll anyway. So, in a slightly unorthodox turnaround, I'm announcing his entry as the winner and leaving the previous poll on for a little longer. Hope that isn't too disconcerting or confusing for you all. And thanks again TMF for another superb invented meaning.

Someone with a double name. Bill Williams, Bob Roberts, Tom Thompson, John Johnson, Bowser T. Bowser, Doug Douglas, Donny McDonald, Flava Flav, and Marty Martin come to mind.

A semisolifidian comes close, but not quite. They are often shunned by the "full sollies" and have a hard time getting public funding as a result. Chris Cress, Linda Lundy, Lloyd Floyd, Bill Bell, his brother Bull, and Alice Olis are all semis.
