Uxorious

I love this word. Uxorious means excessively fond of your wife. I'm all for that. Beats being excessively fond of someone else's wife! So girls, ask your hubby if he's feeling uxorious tonight and see what he says. I asked mine and he said, yes, but he thought it was caused by too much time in the sun! That gave me a giggle and giggles are good. The meaning suggested by Two Cents, a new blogger, came out tops on the poll. Congratulations, Two Cents.

Uxorious is when you're trying to think of a particular word and you can't quite come up with it. That's when you're feeling uxorious.

Uxorious is when you sleep in on a school day and the teacher phones up to find out where you are. Your mum says "He's just being uxorious."

Uxorious is when a university team makes it to the finals, but are too confident.

The uxorious team got big-headed and thought they'd win, but their over-confidence proved to be their downfall.

Uxorious: adv. ~full of doubt; unsure; indecision; uncertainty.

Stacey, was uxourious, being a new mother, therefore she made an irritatingly large amount of calls to the pediatrician.
