Cryptaesthesia
Cryptaesthesia is supernormal knowledge - however, not the kind we're all gaining through our participation in this knowledge increasing blog. Cryptaesthesia is knowledge gained through telepathic or clairvoyant means. I thoroughly enjoyed reading all the invented meanings added to the blog today. Winner on the poll was Hello from Julia, a meaning I enjoyed very much indeed. Thanks again, Julia.

cryptaesthesia is the art of talking extensively about boring and complicated subjects in a monotone voice until your audience falls asleep. Maths teachers are particularly good at it!
Cryptaesthesia is the permanent cross-eyedness suffered by code-breakers and cryptographers, resulting from squinting all day at complicated ciphers.
Cryptaesthesia describes the numb feeling one gets in their buttocks after sitting too long. This often occurs at sporting events, and in the most severe cases can cause one's hair to turn blue.
Goosebumps.
"While on an archeological dig having discovered an ancient crypt, Jane broke out in strage bumps all over her skin. Her friend said, "Hey Herkimer, look at Jane's goosebumps!"
Cryptaesthesia is psychological state-- similiar to selective amnesia -- that occurs when one is mistakenly buried alive and then released before it is "too late." Those in the state of cryptaesthesia do not remember any aspect of their entombment. Cryptaesthesia is thought to be a self-protective psychological devise.
Cryptaesthesia describes the state of obsessively designing the aesthetic of one's final resting place, from an urn, a grave, a tombstone or a crypt- in excruciating, macabre detail.
This blog is BRILLIANT! I am going to link it on mine. I am a bit of an amateur grammarian and dictionary whore. If you'd ever like a copy of the Oxford Canadian (an award-winner full of Canadianisms) contact me... ok, so here is my guess (my first ever). this is a toughie.
Cryptaesthesia is the syndrome that strikes young things who fall head over heels for much, much older men's looks (think not father figures, but great-grandfather figures). Characterized by an attraction to liver spots caused by an unknown anaesthesic condition (which may or may not be related to large estate sums) affecting but not limited to the visual senses.
