Flustra

Flustra is described in the dictionary as sea mat, which doesn't really help. It goes on to describe it as something that resembles seaweed. I kind of get the picture. I preferred your invented meanings of course, and give my wholehearted congrats to Jem who was a winner on the poll today. Well done.

My pet budgie is in a flustra at the moment. He's moulting and resembles a flying feather duster.

A Flustra is a colloquial term for having overdone something due to your mind being engaged/trubled by other things.

a good example of a "Flustra" includes having vaccuumed the same bit of carpet for the last tweny minutes whilst staring out of the window.

I think this is a good word for describing the hue of one's face in a state of rage- (or possibly frustration-) related incandescence.

Flustra is what your vacuum cleaner collects in its see-through container and is collected by your local council to be recycled in the supermarkets as Bombay Mix.

Lordy, somehow I stumble a little too close to the real meaning. Isn't that strange!?
