Ballyrag
To ballyrag is to indulge in horseplay and play practical jokes on people. I will try to remember that as it may come in useful. I enjoyed your invented meanings and am happy to announce realityjunkie as the top of the polls today.

It is very interesting for me to read this post. Thanx for it. I like such topics and everything that is connected to this matter. I definitely want to read more on that blog soon.
This is when students at the University of Bally in Ireland hold a rag week. Usually on the 31st November in aid of the homeless leprachorn charity "Hopeless." Namely Ballyrag Week.
1. I choose an obscure dictionary word.
2. You invent a wacky meaning and add it as a comment.
3. After a certain time I list the true meaning and choose a winner for the invented meaning.
There are no prizes, just lots of fun!
Remember, children use this site too.
I am a children's author who has had a handful of books published by trade publishers. They're in book shops and libraries. I've also had a sackful of books published by educational publishers. These are mainly found in schools. I love words and that's why I invented this blog site.

Herky
It's the nickname for the turban worn by most convenience store workers here in the U.S.
A ballyrag is a baseball that has been hit too many times. Such balls are usually discarded, but sometimes you've just got to make do.
