Panegyric
Oddly enough, panegyric is a synonym for encomium. If that sentence sounds bizarre to you, perhaps you haven't been playing the game long enough. Or maybe too long! It's a eulogy. Well done to all today's word imps. Shari's entry received the most votes. I'm glad, because I loved her idea that a panegyric was my double from a parallel universe. I would find a double very useful.

A panegyric is a person that can simultaneously gyrate multiple moving bodyparts. Naturally gifted panegyrics can do so using different speeds and directions for different body parts.
With the death of Vaudeville many panegyrics lost their place to shine and were forced into more mundane jobs.
Rubbing your tummy and patting your head is all that remains in public conciousness of the art of panegyrics, but patting isn't gyrating so doesn't really count. Try to circle your foot in one direction and your hand in the other at the same time.
Everyone has a panegyric in a pararell universe. This is your double. A panegyric looks like you, speaks like you, and acts like you. Sometimes when something is threatening your panegyric's world, he or she will try to steal your life. your identity. Sometimes he or she even tries to switch places with you without your knowledge. Even in the paralell universe, everything's the same-except the government. Big Brother has his eye on you all the time. He is the ultimate capitalist.
Panegyrics come to Earth through windowpanes. This is their gateway. It immediately shows them where their lookalikes are.
There are three ways you can tell the difference between a panegyric and an earthling: Panegyrics do not bleed. They avoid windows as much as possible. And they have a mark on the back of the earlobe that is the Panegyrician symbol of the Gemini.
If you happen to see this "twin," be careful. They are very sneaky. It may be a good idea to avoid windows, too. This is how panegyrics find you.
It's a device for rotating bread dough to help it rise. It was invented in France in 1765 by a commune of bakers from Lyon.
Panegyric is the term for that special technique chefs have for stirring and flipping ingredients in a pan without using a spoon or other utensil. You've seen them grab the handle of a pan and give it a couple quick panegyrics to keep the onions from sticking; it's all in the wrist, of course.
A panegyric is a special cattapult you use at picnics to start food fights.
well, Clare and i are pretty close but I think she's off just a little bit! A panegyric is a device used for making breadsticks -- for instance those long skinny, sort of twisted ones that you find in italian restaurants.
Panegyric is a medical term. 'Pan' meaning all, and 'gyric', pertaining to the convolutions on the surface on the brain. So panegyric is used when talking about all the convolutions of the brain, rather than individual ones.
A panegyric is somebody who has a rather unhealthy addiction to buying pots and pans. They are unable to pass by a kitchenware store without purchasing the latest set of pots and pans. This can cause many problems for the panegyric, especially when it comes to storage, as panegyrics are more often than not single, they live in relatively small dwellings which do not hold that many sets of pots and pans. Panegyrics never actually use the cookware, in fact in all cases it has been noted that they can't actually cook, not even able to boil an egg! They exist on McDonalds and Burger King and tend to be a little on the overweight side. There have been no known cases of panegyrics being cured of this condition by psychologists.
A panegyric is a geriatric breadmaker (person, not a machine).
Panegyric describes a movie critic who trashes everything.
It's obvious the snob at the Herald Press is panegyric -- he didn't even like Serenity!
A panegyric is an expert hula-huper. They amaze their friends and family with their hula-huping ability. They are always women with perfect hourglass figures.
