Solidungular

A solidungular creature is, in fact, a member of the horse family. Solidungular means solid hoofed. Thanks for your creativity on the blog today. Thinks! was the winner on the poll. Good thinking, thinks!

Solidunglar refers to "melted lumps" of solder or welded metal, such as those found at the joins of old-fashioned ironware.

These could cause problems. At the Great Exhibition of 1851 whilst trying out the "automatic massage chair", Lady Haveley became an unwilling exhibition when her dress got caught on a solidungular spike.

Solidungular is the term used by English, Westcountry farmers for constipation in cattle.

'Oi don't loike the look of Daisy this mornin',and she be roight solidungular at 'er ass end!'

Not constipation Magdalene, but mastitis.

A cow with a solidulgular udder is one who is suffering from mastitis and the said udder is hard, painful and inflamed.

It doesn't necessarily refer to a West Country cow either. They are all equally prone whatever part of the country they come from, even
St James Park, London!

A solidungular - well it's a cow pat (dung) which has been out in the sun (sol) for so long it has acquired a nice hardened consistency. Country folk of old who had little money but much spare time used to use them as frisbees.

Beware ye the solidungular which is not fully baked, for it may not treat the catcher kindly!

Missed you yesterday Word Imp but you deserved a birthday rest - am e-mailing an Alka-Seltzer....

The solidungular is a soup in Russia. Everyone, especially children hate it. The soup is made of dried raddishes, potato peals, dried grapes, 1/2 a cup of oil and 1/4 a cup of water then you stire it up and your done. I know what your thinking "but they didn't cook it WELL THEY AREN'T SUPPOSED TO! It turns out thicker than wet sement (that's just an exageration ). Anyway you get the point, it's totally GROSS!

A solidungular is a nemesis of vampires. Because their jugular veins are solid (blood passes from their hearts to their brains by another route), solidungulars are immune to vampires' standard attacks and are thus very effective in fighting them.

Solidungular is a summer festival celebrating the god of gular (the danish version of goulash which is the same as the Hungarian kind but served cold)

Communities come together to make the biggest batch of gular possible, which is then doled out to every attendee. The festival doesn't end until the last drop is eaten. And, of course, there's lots of dancing because it hastens the digestive process.

A solidungular is a person who designs and builds open-air prisons, such walled or fenced enclosures. The word literally means sun-dungeon-maker, and originally applied to people who made prisons that were deep outdoor pits that were open at the top.

Solidungular is an adjective used to describe the perfect jelly (or jello as they say in the US of A). The jelly has set (solid) and yet retains a gentle wobble (ungular) when it is turned out onto a plate.

Solidungular (adj)- with very hard hooves. Derived from solid + ungula (Latin for hoof or claw).

i.e. "Look out, Johnny- if that solidungular horse kicks you, you might not wake up for a week."
