Pellagra

Pellagra is a disease which starts with cracked skin and ends with insanity. So get that moisturiser out, people! Sadly, I do have cracked heels. However, my insanity is completely unrelated. Thanks for your wide ranging meanings on the blog. Wonderful! Ron was the favourite on the poll. Congratulations on your success, Ron.

Pellagra is the name for a female unicorn. The male is a Pellagron.

Word Imp, I had that same feeling-that you had used the word before. You saved me the work of checking your archives. :) Odd, really. Maybe there was a word that was similar.

Pellagra sounds like a name of a drug for allergies.

Pellagra is a special kind of writing sometimes used in place of caligraphy, like on wedding invitations or special announcements.

Pellagra. N. - a rival drug to Rogaine; prescribed for people suffering from hair loss. It is anticipated that Pellagra will overtake sales of Rogaine in 2008.

John Pell, an English mathematician known for "Pell's equation", was a Professor at Oxford University. His approach to math was called Pellagra, as was the class course he taught.
