Minacious

Minacious means threatening. Mmmm. I will try to keep that in mind. It could be useful. The blog meanings were not at all threatening and I've placed three on the poll. It was very hard to choose, as each had its merits. So well done to you all. Shari got the most voters, which makes her another happy customer. Good for you, Shari!

minacious (adj) - 1) of tall, thin physique - almost stick figure like; 2) mildly exciting, or almost cool - not quite bodacious.

Brutus and Popeye fought regularly over the minacious Olive Oyl. In Victorian times boned corsets were used to press a woman's physique into straight, minacious lines. The term has become popular to describe things which are nice, but not quite exciting. Going surfing is bodacious. Grandma's pickle pie is minacious.

Minacious: A person who continuously looks at her watch.

I could tell that the minacious person checking his watch every five minutes couldn't wait to leave.

Minacious is a slang word. Thuggy rappers use this word to emphasize a girl's hotness.
"Yo Gdog, did you see that? That girl was like minaciously hot."

Minacious - an anticlimax, a moment of great diaappointment.

Ethel's eyes lit up when Cedric knelt down before her and presented the small red velvety box.
"Ethel my love, will you..."
He fumbled the box open to reveal a rather minacious wisdom tooth which the dentist had extracted that afternoon.

Sorry, that's 'disappointment'

And er, "will you...look after my tooth for me?"

Minacious (adj) - Possessive, particularly of things that aren't really yours.

For example, holidaymakers who reserve their spots by the pool with towels before going to breakfast are minacious.

Minacious is that "butterflies in your stomach" feeling when you get excited or are really happy.

Minacious describes the length and quality of a girl's mini skirt. The more minacious the skirt is, the shorter and tantalizing it is.

The saying Bodacious Babe has been around for a while, but with Kylie Minogue's popularity reaching fever pitch around the globe, the word Bodacious has been re-invented to be Minacious.....that Kylie, she is a totally Minacious Babe!

Minacious - to have the most minute amount of graciousness possible.

"Mildred never, ever said "please", "thank you" or "excuse me". She had no friends, no family, no lover (every pet she ever tried to keep ran away at the slightest opening of a door or window). So lonely is the life of a minacious spinster.
