Bathybius

Bathybius isn't something you want in your bath at all. It's a slimy gelatinous substance dredged from the bottom of the ocean. Not sure why anyone would bother dredging it up or even giving it a name, but there you go. The dictionary's a bit like that. Anyway, there were some very creative meanings on the blog today and I'm happy to say that Madame C was the pick of the voters. Well done, Madame C.

Bathybius is a term given to children to love to take baths and romp in it.

My youngest loves to take baths and play with her bath toys. She's a bathybius.

Bathybius is a temperature scale, a bit like Celsius or Fahrenheit, but is used to measure just how relatively hot your child is when they have a fever, because, as all parents know, it's a very objective measurement - every child is different.

Bathybius is a term for an old fashioned bathing aid. England in their coastal towns used to have bathing areas in the sea or ocean I am not sure which and an aid would be there to help them and look after them while they swam or bathed.

Bathybius is the the name of one of the cats that T.S Elliot wrote about, the poems are the ones on which the musical Cats was based.
Unfortunately when T.S was penning the poem he was having a bad rhyming day and ran out of ideas after the first line and binned it....

Bathybius was very pious.....

Which is why there has never been a man jumping around the stages of the world dressed in lycra singing about being Bathybius the cat.

A bathybius was a huge blubbery dinosaur that used to lollop around in the prehistoric age. It never did anyone any harm.

Bathybius is a type of carriage that they used in Bath England in Victorian times. It was used to transport people from their homes to the baths where they could bath and take the waters. It was used because no one was allowed to see your bathing costume. It was pulled by bath ponies

Bathybius was one of the reindeer used to pull Santa's sleigh. Unfortunately one Christmas he pulled a hamstring when he landed on a particularly steep roof and had to be retired. He was put out to stud and all reindeer in existence today are from Bathybius' bloodline.

Bathybius is an illness you get from germs in the bath. The germ is the Bius germ. The symptoms are itchiness, memory loss and something else but I can't remember what it is. It isn't fatal.
