Thridace

Thridace is the opposite of what I thought. It's a sedative made from lettuce juice. Well, now we know. Thanks to those who took the time to visit and be creative. The voters liked the meaning suggested by Magdalene best of all. Well done Magdalene.

Thridace is a kind of tree which has small leaves on called Idaces. When the tree's leaves fall off it looks like the tree is throwing the leaves.

Thridace is a recent word which describes the recent phenomenon of young people under twentyfive (in the south of England at least)forming the sound 'f' or 'v' in place of 'th'. As in 'I fink; I fought, or I didn't know wever to laugh or cry.'
Of course, anyone who suffers from thridace would say they speak fridace.

Thridace is a kind of pesticide containing three powerful poisons. It was developed during the 1960's but hurriedly removed from the market after several reported sightings of 4ft slugs in Kent.

It's a type of sewing machine that was withdrawn from shelves almost immediately following its launch, after an incident involving the needle replacement mechanism and the front paw of a very unfortunate pet cat.

The ace of clubs. Hardly any games are still played where that's a very important card. Clubs are third (after Spades and Hearts, and before those poor diamonds whose ace probably had some sad name like lessace or pissace).
