Scholium
Okay, so my dictionary reports that a scholium is actually an explanatory note in the margin of a book. I can't quite work out whether it's one scribbled in by a reader/editor or a printed one by the author. Nevertheless, you get the general idea. The poll win was a tie between the boys, Stephen and Brian o vretanos. Well done and come back soon.

Man, this is so spooky....I have just walked in the door, got my laptop out, found that I had a scholium, repaired it, turned my computer on, opened up Word Imperfect only to find scholium is the definition of the day. Very weird! Anyway, to put you all out of your misery, a scholium is technical term in beauty therapy college for a broken nail - easily fixed with an emery board.
You are very funny, anonymous. Makes me wish I knew who you were! Love your work.
A scholium is something you will nowadays only see in a museum as it wouldn't stand a chance on our modern streets. It was a form of cabriolet or light two-horse carriage with an open top for use in sunny weather to display the gentry in their finery as they rode along Rotten Row or in Hyde Park.
The scholium is the upper part of the forehead. It gets its name from the idea that people with prominent scholia (i.e. receding hairlines) look learned.
At least, that's what people with receding hairlines claim.
Scholium is that icky gritty grimy sticky uncomfortable morning feeling. (Yeah, I just rolled out of bed.)
Scholium. N. The segment of one's back, located just between and below one's two shoulder blades. Most commonly known as the impossible place to reach and scratch.
"Jerrold wrestled for hours to reach the minor itch on his scholium. He eventually employed the help of Bernice, who dispatched the itch with ease."
Scholium is the proper term for that vile sludge that accumulates in the bottom of a glass aquarium tank.
Hi Word Imp, thanks for the advice on how not to have to be anonymous anymore.
A scholium is an asylum where people who have become too educated are sent, until such time that they become normal again.

A scholium is a place where your body goes if you don't want to be buried or cremated.
