Securiform

Securiform means (wait for it, this is odd) "axe shaped". How or why, I don't know. I much prefer the incredible array of invented meanings from the in-form word imps. Well done to Thinks! whose meaning won the hearts of the voters.

Well, I'm afraid this sounds like one of those incontinence pads which are advertised on the TV so often now.
"I can go ski-ing and horse riding whilst waving my legs in the air now I've discovered the freedom of securiform with the extra absorbent thirst pockets treated with a hint of aloe vera!"

Securiform is a British company which produces blank legal agreements such as wills, contracts, rent books and the like in the English language. Unfortunately, in the interests of economy, they have outsourced much of the production of their documentation to Swahili-speaking countries. The disasterous results have become the source of many a lawsuit.

A securiform is a legal form that everyone in the USA must sign before going into see their doctor. No one except lawyers can decipher it. It is commonly believed to say, "I give this physician permission to do what ever they want to me and I am responsible to pay for it." A securiform secures payment to the physician while assuring patient privacy.

It's a type of coded message system, the basis of which is that the handwriting is so bad that only the (specially trained) writer and receiver can possibly understand it. The practice is rumoured to have begun among medical students, but this has never been officially verified.

Securifom is the name given to the baggy trousers and shirts worn by prisoners. This prison garb is made from material featuring wide stripes in garish colours (orange and black, lime green and purple). Even if a prisoner escapes he is easily recognised as he stands out in the crowd. Well, that used to be the case.... teenage fashions have rendered the Securifom obsolete.

A securiform is a lifesize, cardboard cut-out of a parent, designed to accompany the small child on his first day at school. Securiforms greatly reduce the incidences of screaming, pants wetting and other strees related behaviours caused by separation anxiety.

A Securiform is a new type of bra women wear when wearing very low-cut tops or dresses. The Securiform has adhesive tape on the inside of the cups so that you don't have a costume malfunction at any function you attend when dancing wildly or trying to catch the bouquet at a reception.
