Omentum
So yes, the omentum is that ghastly stomach thing mentioned by Mandy. Or, as my dictionary puts more politely, the fold of the peritoneum connecting the stomach with other viscera. Not sure what viscera is but the doctor types will know. Well done to silver_flight and lorenzothellama for tying on the poll today. Great meanings, as always.

An omentum is kind of hard to describe. The part in brackets is an omentum:

An omentum is any large, weighty book suitable for standing on to reach other smaller books that may be just out of reach.
I didn't miss the point...but, the real meaning was just more bizarre than anything I could think up at the time !!
omentum is not being able to stop praying.
Omentum is the state you fall into when you can't stop giggling, and all you have to do is meet the eye of your fellow giggler, and the omentum kicks back in.
