Scug (v) To scoot over and hug someone. This has come to be known as scugging. It tends to occur often with those who are too timid to engage in the full frontal hug such as boys ages 14 - 35 who haven't quite figured out that girls are not entirely frightening.

Scug is the word for a baby reptile.

ex. Suzie should have realized that her hand was too close to the scug before its mother pounced. She won't make that mistake again anytime soon.

Scug is a facial expression. It comes on when one is trying to hide their true emotions. Scugging is often done around annoying relatives.
Annie had a scug on her face when her mother in law mentioned how dirty the bathroom looks for the tenth time.

A scug (n., also vb) is that swallow you force yourself to do upon eating something vile that must be consumed for politeness's sake. It is often followed by a forced smile and a 'Mmmm, lovely!'. In any other circumstance, scugged food/drink would be spat out straight away before it could violate the tastebuds a moment longer.

Example: After visiting Kathy's parents for the first time Tom wondered if their relationship could stand up to years of his having to scug her mother's home cooking.

Scugs are old, holey slippers with the backs trodden down. They are mostly worn by elderly men who pride themselves in wearing the same pair for decades. Scugs are rarely thrown away because nobody else can bring themselves to touch them.

Scug is the smell of wet ashes. A scuggy smell is like a mix between musty, smoggy, and just plain stinky. Like when your 80 acres burns down and then it rains the following day. Believe me that's a scuggy smell.
