According to the people who write dictionaries, an ovolo is a convex moulding in the shape of a quarter circle or quarter ellipse which recedes downwards. I have no idea what that means. So let's stick with your invented meanings on that one. Much simpler. I've chosen the one suggested by Yoda today. Great work. Here 'tis:
Ovolo is a slang word used by burly men in shipyards, truck-loading docks, cargo docks, etc. When the vehicle being loaded is full and can't take any more, the men yell out "Ovolo!"

Ovolo is an oval-shaped variation on running in circles.
"She was in such a hurry that she wore an ovolo pattern on the floor in front of the elevator while waiting for it when she arrived at her office building every morning."
Ovolo is a war cry of the Vikings. It was also used as a chant to keep them spurred on as they were rowing their longships.

The pianoforte ovolo was a circular piano with 142 keys all the way round. Great at parties or concerts where up to six people could play together all facing one another. Popularity died off when it became common for players to kick each other underneath the instrument. Liberace had a 142 piece golden candlestick made for his...it was certainly a queer instrument!
