A frazil or specifically a frazil nut is the fattest, roundest brazil nut you have carefully selected from the Christmas goodies dish and spent ten minutes breaking into with the nutcrackers which turns out to have the nasty tasting black crumbly disaster inside.

A frazil is a found in every electicians toolbox. It is a very useful tool for pulling the wires through the holes when creating new powe points, light switches, etc.
Frazil was going to be the original name for the capital city of Brazil. However, Brasilia won by a very narrow margin when a public vote was held.
'Frazil' describes the feeling I felt this morning when I looked in the bathroom mirror and saw a whole clump of grey hairs that I hadn't noticed before. I'm sure they weren't there yesterday.
