Spiflicate

Spiflicate is apparently the slang word used by Brit school kids for destroy or annihilate. Thanks to Thinks! for the further information on spiflicate. I enjoyed the invented meanings. Thanks for making the time to play. We have yet another tie on the poll. Today it's Floribunda and Thinks! Great work.

To spiflicate means to pepper your conversation with superlatives such as 'Fabulous!' 'Superduper!' and of course 'Spiffing!' which is the original source of the word.

Thanks for the recent wins voters, though I think many of us are still sleeping off our seasonal celebrations!

Surely, this word belongs in cookery books. e.g. After carefully blending all ingredients together, pour into an ovenproof dish, sprinkle with oregano and spiflicate in an oven at 5000 degrees (Gas Mark 500) for 4hours.
i.e. spiflicate - to murder a nice meal in the oven.

N.B. We used to use this word in the 50's and I thought it was a childlike invention but having looked it up; surprise! We used it correctly!

I think it's what happens when you have a runny nose and several hours without access to tissues.

To spiflicate is to create two of something by dividing the original. The most common example of this would be that favourite childhood past time, the spiflication of worms.

a spiflicate is a neat-freak (i.e. from "to spiff up") -- someone who always has to have their house ready to show of!
