Stylobate
A stylobate has nothing to do with style. Well, maybe, if you're an architect it might. Anyway, it's a long basement supporting a row or several rows of columns. I can picture a stylobate but I can't say I've ever heard the term before. Your invented meanings for stylobate were great. The winner with the most votes from his peers was The Encourager. Great work!

A silent debate by way of writing. The term originates in ancient Rome, where people who did not want or were not able to speak out loud (secrecy, sore throats, the baby's just fallen asleep, etc.) were scratching their arguments (with a stylus)on wax tablets.
It means to make a copy --or "style" something after something else.

Female ones tend to be clad in grubby pink sweatshirts and leggings, with unwashed stringy hair and are often seen pushing strollers full of jam faced toddlers.
