Curare
Curare is a bitter substance from South American plants which Indians used to poison their arrows. Nasty! I'll keep that little tidbit under my hat for now. Not sure if and when it will come in handy. Your invented meanings were strange and wonderful. Magdalene's meaning pipped the others at the post in the winning stakes. Well done, Magdalene. You kept your nose just in front!

Ssshhh! I can tell you what this means, but I'll have to shoot you first (or is it after?).
curare was the name given in the Middle Ages to the fierce dogs of Ares (from Cur + Ares), the (originally Greek) god of war. Recently Q's people have been experimenting with specially modified dogs in the ongoing battle against James Bond's adversaries.
These "dogs of war" or "curare" are generally poodles, since most Evil Geniuses have a weakness for such animals. The dogs are introduced into their houses as strays. They contain bugs, and to avoid detection, excrete the information naturally, since it has been observed that Madmen Bent on World Domination never scoop the poop.
Keep it under your hat (the dog that is...)
Curare (pronounced qu ar ree) is the lacey bit at the bottom of a clergyman's frock.
Pastor Phil, you are not allowed to answer this one because you will know this meaning is true!
Curare is the cue ball for an especially rare variety of pool table.
"Curare!" often shouted in anger out of a car window if another driver who forgets to signal or drives badly. From italian - meaning to poke something (Poss. pool cue)in an unmentionable place.
Llama dude,
I do know the definition indeed, but...
A curare is a clergyman who does not wear a frock. I am a curare. Typically we work as undercover agents for heaven.
Thanks for the votes on flivver all you wordy types, I needed to win as my badge from the previous week shrank in the wash.
Curare is a form of marshall art designed to replace ironing. The exponent uses a flattened hand against the (eg) shirt whilst it's still being worn. It can therefore be performed by friends on the train to work.
Thus speaks a professional curarist :-)
Curare is a thick paste of honey, cow dung and chilli powder traditionally applied to the soles of the feet as a protective layer for novice firewalkers. The chilli causes a tingling, burning sensation which apparently prepares the firewalker by getting him used to stupidly self inflicted pain.
Curare is a cure that no-one understands. For example eating deer umbles has been known to cure some almost incurable mental health conditions, and no scientist or doctor has ever figured out why.
Curare is a kind of pesticide to kill cockroaches!
It is a powdered mass of Copper and arsenic trioxide available in the form of reddish-brown coloured chalks.
If an unintellingent cockroach tries to sniff or cross the line marked by the curare, it dies instantly.
*Keep out of reach of children
Pastor Phil: When not in sheep's clothing? Just kidding!
Curare--French for children born of curators in centuries of old. Curators of a several hundred years or so ago actually lived in and raised their families in the monasteries or abbeys they were appointed to. The curators would conduct their research for the lost or stolen artifacts onsite. As little ones are born into the priviliged life of the curator, their little ones were referred to as curares. "Baby Phil was an especially delightful little carare, following in his father's footsteps at such a young age!"
Dear karishma
keep out of the reach of EVERYBODY, especially cockroaches I would deduce.
Aviva and I had been on the same wavelength here-almost. :)
Curare-Researchers and Scientists have discovered a curare, a cure for a rare disease, and will be getting human clincal trials underway soon since it had been proven to work well in laboratory mice.
A curare is any much-touted remedy that in fact rarely cures anything. This differs from a placebo in that placebos actually work and are usually less expensive.

Curare is a special bandage used in "bendy" areas like elbows and knees.
Curare is the Italian for "hardly cooked" and it has become fashionable to use this word when ordering a steak. It is mostly heard in overpriced restaurants run by rude, overrated chefs.
Dear Thesaurus,
EVERYBODY, of course, if they fall in the slot of Domestic Pests!
