Funambulist

A funambulist is actually a rope walker. Today's entries were all great. It was very hard to decide on a winner. However, I have decided on Alan's entry which suggests a funambulist fakes an injury to get a ride in an ambulance. It made me laugh out loud the longest.

I think a funambulist is someone who goes easy in a competition because they're sure they'll win, and then they lose.

Hee hee Alan

A funambulist is a person in a marching band who plays a funamble, which kind of sounds like a munchkin singing. And bubbles come out of it.

I think that the word has its roots in ambulate and is used to describe members and devotees of Monty Pythons Ministry of Silly Walks

If you're doing something FUN and someone just goes in and makes it turn UNFUN! Then that person is a funambulist.

A funambulist is like a trainspotter, only they spot ambulances instead. They sit at well known accident sites, wait for accidents to happen (but definitely not causing them) and they make a list of ambulances that come to pick up injured people. This is their idea of fun......but certainly not mine!

A person who is passionate about walking only in the way laid down by god. All other forms of walking are an abomination.
