Well I like your version Word Imp, I can just see John Wayne Clumbering around in the wild west.
Soooo Clumber.
Could it be the perjorative term used by qualified plumbers to describe their unqualified and clumsy apprentices.
Over tea break, watching him clear up his third flood of the day, George and Bert decided that young Johnny was a real clumber.

Clumber United is the name of a local football team. They are noted for really enjoying their game but scoring very few goals. They are in the C Team of the J. Rowntree III Division that plays on Monday evenings at the Ashton-under-Lyne Sports Club.
Clumbering is a little like laying drystone (mortarless walls). The wood is put in with a mallet, and never nails or screws. it was used in Norway and such places where there was more wood and humidity than hardware. The walls have a mosaic effect.

Clumber is essentially the same thing as slumber except it is referring to the sleep (or the lack of) of a pregnant woman. Because the sleep of a pregnant woman is so broken and interrupted and cannot really be called slumber. The only suitable name would be clumber. It is sort of a messy, clumsy sleep. Any woman who has had children and been pregnant with other little ones knows exactly what I am talking about!
Clumber is wood that you by of specialty. "NO", you say "thats lumber". Well, yes it is but you don't by that because it is special. Most likely you're going to be sawing, hammering, building, shaping you know that kind of stuff with lumber. No , with clumber people like to have it on display in your house or outside. It is Usually wood that was a tree but now is a rock or had a wonderful jewel in it, if you agree with me you would probably have that to!

A Clumber is a clumsy clamber. Usually, by an inexperienced climber. It is more often used in the "competitive climb" sense - as a disorganised, unruly race for the top spot.
eg: The contestants clumbered for first place, breaking every rule on the way, even as the poor host tried to bring order to proceedings.
