Ormolu

Ormolu is a decorative gold alloy, which isn't surprising. It sounds a lot like that to me now that I think about it. I loved all your invented meanings but had to go with the memories created by the suggestion of Thinks! Here it is: 'Ormolu': famous song of the 70's by Abba which won the eurovision song contest soemwhere around 1972.

Thanks again. Keep playing!

Ormolu was the first Chief of the tiny Micronesian island of Ormoa. The island, which was very flat, became totally submerged, never to be seen again, in 1852. Luckily, at the time of this event, the island was being visited by a Chilean trader ship. Hence all the inhabitants were safely evacuated and survived.

Ormolu is a very rare precious stone, found only in certain remote pockets of some African countries. Ormolu are incredibly beautiful, containing all seven colours of the rainbow.

An Ormolu is a handbag made from a combination of Ostrich, Emu and Mole skins/feathers. A very popular handbag in France, however, people seen in America carrying these handbags are often the victims of abuse by animal rights activists.
