Lekker

Lekker is South African slang. It means attractive, nice or tasty. Thanks for your great invented meanings for lekker. I've chosen Hey Jude as today's winner.

Here's her suggestion: Lekker is a type of dried meat. Its most common form is dried reindeer meat, a delicacy in the far reaches of the Northern Hemisphere.

A Lekker is a Celtic fairy. A Lekker is a good fairy, popping up in times of great need. Lekkers are very rare, as they are males.

Lekker was a brand of refrigerator, popular in the
1940's. The company closed down in 1955, because its founder, Hubert Lekker the 3rd, refused to ever make any changes or improvements to the design. Lekker fridges soon became old-fashioned and unpopular, and stopped selling.

The Lekker is a very complicated dance move that should only ever be attempted by professional dancers. The Lekker involves a mid-air splits manouver closely followed by a sommersault, with the dancer ending up in a handstand, all while juggling flaming torches. The Lekker has been attempted before by non-dancers who having consumed copius amounts of alcohol think they can carry out this dance move, usually with horrendous results. The number of injuries sustained by failed Lekker moves has led to some countries around the world banning the Lekker from being performed, even by professionals.
