Jussive

Jussive refers to expressing a command. Nothing like as interesting as our invented meanings. Congrats to new player Ruby Rosamund for a first up win on the poll today. Great work Ruby! Keep it up. Sorry I haven't been on the blog daily, by the way. I'm doing my best to update as often as possible, and will try to be more frequent in future.

To be jussive is the opposite of being judgemental; it is to always give the other person the benefit of the doubt.

Jussive, pronounced, Juice sieve, is the latest gadget ready for your Christmas shopping. Basically, its just a beefed up blender. But, hey, a new name, a new TV commercial, and a new price. What more could an entreprenaur wish for. The juice emitted comes out smooth, like it's been pushed through a sieve. Thus the name: Jussive.

Jussive and Merry were Cheesies' parents. Very appropriate for Christmas!

Jussive - is a measure of size. It is of Spanish root so you pronounce the "J" as an "H" sound. It is somowhere in between massive and huge.

A child is jussive when they make excuses for poor behavior. "But, I was just trying to make Suzie's bangs look good for the Christmas picture, I didn't mean to cut them all jagged like that."

Jussive is a little-known period dating back to the era of dinosaurs. Experts in this field are divided over the existence of the Jussive period, which why it appears in very few texts on the subject. Most dinosaur experts believe the entire dinosaur population came to an abrupt ending, which was also the end of the Mesozoic period. However, some people believe some dinosaurs survived, but not in enough numbers to maintain their species, so they eventually died off. This period, of some 50 years, is known as the Jussive period by these believers.

This is a really lovely idea! Like call my bluff but with no winners or losers. I hope you don't mind if I post your blog to my Uni course blog... http://lincolncreativeadvertisinglinks.blogspot.com/

I think 'jussive' is an adjective, used to describe someone who always tries to justify the bad things they do. "I had to steal that cheesecake, the fat lady behind me was eyeing it and I didn't like to think she'd get diabetes."

Whereas percussive maintenance is a method of fixing an errant machine by applying physical force, jussive maintenance performs the same task using moral admonition, as in "You really are a very naughty car..." or similar.
