Pilose
Pilose means covered with hair. I feel like I should have known that but, sadly, I didn't. Maybe I'll remember it now but I'm not making any promises. My memory isn't what it used to be. I hope some of the word imps out there are gaining a fabulous vocabulary through this game though! Voting on the poll was very tight between Stephen and Melissa today - so tight in fact that I've declared them both winners. Wonderful meanings, both of you. Thanks for your creativity.

Pilose is the experience you have when you can't concentrate and your mind wanders all over the place. It is a mental version of feeling flumpy.

Pilose. A weight loss medicine concocted by American Inventor Ross Wertheim in the early 70s.
The name was derived from "Pounds I Lose", and the medicine is believed to have been spectacularly successful in lab trials. Unfortunately, none of the major drug companies were willing to market a poduct with "I Lose" in the name. Rejected and dejected, Wertheim destroyed the secret formula, depriving the world of the only weight-loss pill that really worked...

pi.lose (pī'lōs) adj. To be full of PIL. PIL, in turn, has two standard meanings:
1. PIL refers to a passenger information list and is also known as a flight manifest. Pilose in this sense refers to the state of being full of such lists, as would be true of most flight attendants; e.g., "The pilose flight attendant spilled coffee on the man is seat 24C."
2. PIL also refers to Publishing Interchange Language, a standard for document interchange that defines the placement of text and graphics objects on the page. Interchange processes that rely on the PIL standard are commonly referred to by experts in the field as pilose interchangers or, simply "pilinters."
So exciting to have a definition in the chosen three, but wondering if we're supposed to vote when in that situation...
